Milwaukee Art Museum – 4th Annual Artist Marketplace
The Milwaukee Art Museum is collaborating with a coalition of fifteen Milwaukee-based artist organizations for the Fourth Annual Milwaukee Artist Marketplace in conjunction with Gallery Night and Day. Selected from hundreds of artists, Hsin-Lin is honored to be invited to partake in this popular event. More than sixty emerging and established Milwaukee artists will display and sell their creative work on the grounds of the Art Museum in a relaxed and informal setting. The event will be held rain or shine from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, contact the museum.

Hsin-Lin’s stunning contemporary acrylics on canvas will provide the backdrop for the 5th collaboration between DanceWorks and Present Music. We invite you to spend an evening with Milwaukee’s contemporary frontrunners on the music and dance scene as they rekindle their relationship in an evening sizzling with new works. The concert will feature a premiere by DanceWorks resident choreographer, Kelly Anderson, and local composer, Jason Seed. The night’s intrigue will be heightened by new choreography by guest artist Simone Ferro, Artistic Director Dani Kuepper, Kim Johnson-Rockafellow and Christal Wagner.

This collection of paintings is a retrospective showcase of Hsin-Lin’s work from 2000- 2007. The artist will discuss the focus of her work from her previous collections Portraits of Life, Reflections, New Life, and Hope and share with guests the significance of her latest collection My Heart Awakens Anew.
Hsin-Lin’s Paintings form an intimate expression of life, revealing its beauty, complexity, and contradictions. Hsin-Lin’s style is very organic, rising out of inspiration from books, music, dance, and interaction with people. Her paintings articulate the intricacies of everyday life, looking beneath the surface of norms and beliefs, while always remaining connected to nature. These circles, which have no beginning and no end, symbolize eternal life.
